About Chef Shell...
Michele McKay has been cooking for people since she was knob high to her Mom's old Amana gas range. Her Mom, Michelina, is an excellent cook of Italian foods and has taught her to prepare many dishes that were handed down from a few generations past.
Of course Michele knows there's more to life than Italian foods so her list of recipes includes foods from other cuisines and so many "down home and hearty" dishes. She has been cooking for friends and family for years and has been invited by several to cook for them in their own homes.
One (challenge) that Michele takes on willingly is showing her clients that "diets" don't have to be boring. Michele converts many recipes that her clients would just love to eat "but can't" into recipes that they can eat, sometimes just with some minor adjustments. Michele has her own definition of diet, it's what people CAN eat and enjoy, not what people can't.
Before Michele started her Personal Chef Service, she worked in the corporate
world as a Human Resources Manager. Michele has always enjoyed taking care of people and as an HR Manager she had the opportunity to work "for" 50 employees by planning potluck luncheons, silly hat days, cookouts and company parties for them. The employees enjoyed the monthly events and always looked forward to the next gathering, never knowing what Michele would dream up next.
